With EDF Express your air source heat pump could cost £3,999 if you already have an eligible hot water cyliner, The existing cylinder must meet the following criteria:

  • Be less than 10 years old
  • Be a modern unvented stainless steel cylinder
  • Be appropriately sized (we will confirm this with you)
  • Be placed vertically (no horizontal cylinders)
  • Must have been srviced and properly maintained

How much does a heat pump cost?

A heat pump could more affordable than you think. There are a range of options available to you to help with the cost of your heat pump:

  • The Government’s £7.5k Boiler Upgrade Scheme(5) grant (eligibility checks apply).

Heat pump costs in detail

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

1.The price of £3,999 reflects the £7,500 government grant and is based on our lowest‑priced heat pump, reusing a suitable existing hot water cylinder and requiring no radiator upgrades. Your individual quote will be specific to your property and requirements.

2. As part of our consultation and design process, we will assess your current hot water cylinder for compatibility. Express is currently offered to compatible homes where the system design requires an Ideal Heating HP290 Air Source Heat Pump.

3. A typical customer can save £164 per year versus the current single-rate price cap tariff. This is based on the following. Savings are based on a customer using Ofgem’s typical domestic consumption of 2700 kWh electricity and with heating provided by an ASHP with COP of 3.1 providing equivalent heat to that from a 94% gas boiler using 11,500 kWh of gas.
