The Role

We’ve partnered with EDF Energy and are growing quickly within the green and renewable energy sector. We’re looking for a Heat Pump Designer to join our team (no prior experience required*).  

*No prior design experience is required as we fully train in-house. A background in plumbing, heating or construction would be an advantage. 

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £25,000 – £40,000 per year*
Location: Office (Clacton-on-Sea)

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday 

*Salary –£25,000 Basic + Performance Bonus OTE £40,000   

You will be assessing technical surveys of properties, completing heat loss calculations and ultimately designing an Air Source Heat Pump System Installation for our customers. As part of the government’s plan to move the UK away from fossil fuels and become less reliant on gas. Knowledge of heat pumps is a benefit, but not essential as full training will be given as well as ongoing support and development. 

 Our proven training methods provide the perfect platform to help nurture you into the complete Heat pump Designer, enabling a clear pathway in the most rewarding industry, within the ever-evolving world of Renewables.

What We’re Looking For?

The perfect candidate: 

• Positive mindset always looking for solutions rather than objections.  
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to successfully communicate with people at all levels.  
• Competent with programs such as Word / Excel and willing to learn and use our bespoke design software. 
• Methodical, organised and driven. 
• A background or post-grad degree in heating, engineering, construction, or air conditioning (preferred – not essential).
